Questions and Thoughts
Mostly my own, but influenced by others.
Who's First?
This question
came about because of a book by Pastor Mike Hayes. His book, "When God is First", did
just what he intended it to do, it started me thinking. Now that in itself is quite an accomplishment.
Since memory is failing I decided to take notes and share them.
How do you answer? Think about it.
Your answer is extremely important to your life ... and death. Evidence for God
What are you going to say, when you finally face the Lord?
...
you might want to give this some thought. I, nor anyone else, will be able to help you with this
question. Only you will be able to provide the response.
Why did Jesus have to die?
Someone had to pay the price. For what? Your
freedom and salvation. The payment for sin is death. The gift from God was his Son's sacrifice. Receiving the gift
So what do you do to get this gift? That's rather easy. Your gift of salvation is all based upon Jesus Christ. He is the key for you getting this gift.
In order for you to obtain this gift and to acquire salvation and entrance into heaven, you must, in your own heart,
truly believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that he came to earth to die on the cross at calvary, that the
blood that he shed on the cross allowed you to have your sins forgiven, and through his glorious Resurrection he
made it possible for you to overcome death and obtain eternal life. You must really try to turn away from your sins
and you must also ask God to forgive you of those sins. You must also put complete faith and trust into Jesus Christ
and you must make every effort to obey him.
These are the things that you must do in order to obtain this gift of eternal salvation and they all happen to center
around the Son of God. If you don't accept Jesus Christ as the one true path to salvation, then eternal life will
never be yours. More... Another ... And another ..
If you can not find an answer in any of these, just try searching the net
on this question: "Why did Jesus have to die?" and I'm sure that you will find many answers. I did.
What does it mean "To Know the Lord"?
Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD:
his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth. (Hosea 6:3, KJV). Following on ..
