Bible Prophecy |
There can be no doubt that God's word -- the Bible -- is inspired when you examine the extraordinary number of Bible Prophecies that have been foretold and fulfilled. What other religion's "holy book" has the track record of fulfillment when it comes to Bible prophecy. As someone once observed: "Anyone can prophecy; the difficult part is being right."
The Bible is right! In fact, it has
not missed once! All of its prophecies have come to pass exactly as
they were written. A good example of this, is found when you compare
the Old Testament's prophetic statements about Christ, with the New Testament's
record of events. You must keep in mind that these books written hundreds
of years apart, by people from all walks of life. (

This is another one of those Web Pages that I copied and saved "just in case"
they disappear from the Web... as is the case of this one. And I want to add my own
thoughts. When reading any of these references it is best to read the verses around it
also. This will place the thoughts in their proper context. Also, remember that the writers
of these scriptures had to use the 'symbols' of the time that they were familiar with.
Since a flying machine had not been invented yet, they were described as flying insects.
Just something to keep in mind. We want to read the Bible Literally and NOT interpret -but-
some things just have to be translated because of the nature of the time periods.

It has been often said that the Old Testament is the shadow, and the New Testament is the substance. The reason for this, is that the Old Testament's prophetic statements and typology reflects the coming of Christ. The New Testament, on the other hand, records the actual events. Therefore, we can look at the Old Testament as a mirror, or reflection of the One to come. The New Testament is the record of that One. Of course, the One we speak of here is Jesus Christ.
There are more scriptures that contain prophecies that we are seeing fulfilled right before our very eyes, today. We will examine these in the future.
In the meantime, the evidence presented here cannot be ignored. We present it as proof of the inspiration and continuity of the Bible.

Thanks to him for the initial efforts. All I did was put in the links to the Bible references.
